Breeding of Pyrenees Mountain Dogs, Patou in Vaucluse

In our breeding we live with our Pyrenees Mountain Dogs also called "Patou", under permanent veterinary monitoring for more than 30 years.
Our Patous puppies are raised in families in the countryside. They play freely in large parks where they find, with musical background music, numerous educational games which ensure balanced behavior. Our Montagne des Pyrénées puppies come from the best current lines, from dysplasia-controlled sires with all their DNA for over 20 years, they have several Champions, Elites or Recommended in their pedigree. Our Patou puppies are however sold today for companionship, exhibitions or use as protection dogs on farms within a herd.
THEpatou “Lord of the Mountains” is a very protective guard dog, with a frank, loyal, calm, independent and very intelligent character. He is courageous and very affectionate, willingly dominant. Loyal the Pyrenees Mountain dog is very attached to his family, when he loves it is for life!

This means providing all the care you need for your entire “Pyrenees Mountain Dog” herd.
The Patou is a very rustic breed of dog that likes to live outdoors in large spaces but will adapt perfectly to indoor life provided that its master provides it with attention, time and sufficient natural exercise. He is very unsuited to life in an apartment, in the city.... He is a willing runaway dog with an adventurous soul if the opportunity arises, a good fence is important and he will be able to follow you on very long distances once adult and well trained. It is not the dog that we "train" but that we must educate with gentleness, technique, understanding but firmness and motivation through love, the Patou will only obey its master out of love, complicity, loyalty and mutual respect.
Future serious show enthusiasts, if you are interested in a puppy for the shows, do not hesitate to let us know, we will appreciate donating or exchanging a superb patounet for the shows, with the sole aim of improving the Patou breed and to safeguard the qualities of the ancestors and their magnificent Pyrenees lineages.
A good breeder is very unhappy when one of his companions leaves him.
But it is also the joy of looking for the ideal stallion for your female dogs by judiciously studying pedigrees, genetics being just as important as phenotype.
It also means impatiently awaiting the birth of the puppies, to see them grow, play, love them with passion.
And then, sadly seeing our baby patous leave for their new family.
It is important for us to receive news, photos and to help you usefully if necessary, because a good breeder must provide after-sales service through his advice and assistance for his production of the Pyrenees Mountain Dog.
